WHY OUR LADY
OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY
At Fatima, Portugal, in the year 1917 of the 20th century,, Our Lady made reference to her title of Our Lady of the Rosary, and the importance of the Rosary, as follows:
"Yes, in the last month, in October, I shall perform a miracle so that all may believe in My apparitions. If they had not taken you to the village, the miracle would have been greater. St. Joseph will come with the Baby Jesus to give peace to the world. Our Lord also will come to bless the people. Our Lady of the Rosary and Our Lady of Sorrows will also come".
"I want a chapel to be built here in My honor. I am Our Lady of the Rosary. Continue to say the Rosary every day. The war will soon end and the soldiers will return to their homes. People must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend Our Lord any more for He is already too much offended".
Tradition has it that the Blessed Mother herself asked for the practice of the rosary as an antidote for heresy and sin. In the 13th century, Our Lady gave 15 Promises to Saint Dominic and Blessed Alanus for those who say the Rosary.
St. Louis de Montfort wrote: “If you say the rosary faithfully until death, I do assure you that in spite of the gravity of your sins, ‘you shall receive a never fading crown of glory.’ Even if you are on the brink of damnation, even if you have one foot in hell...sooner or later you will be converted and will amend your life and save your soul. IF---and mark well what I say---IF YOU SAY THE ROSARY DEVOUTLY EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE...”
Interestingly, prior to the 20th century, the only apparition in which Our Lady mentioned the Rosary was at Gietzerwald, Poland, in 1877 of the 19th century. Our Lady told the visionaries three separate times to “pray the Rosary every day”.
Then, in her first apparition of the 20th century, at Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, Our Lady identified herself as The Lady of the Rosary. And at each of her six apparitions at Fatima Our Lady told the children to “say the Rosary every day.”
At eight of her apparitions of the 20th century, and at each of her last seven, Our Lady gave great importance to the Rosary. At San Nicolas, Argentina in 1983, she identified herself once again as Our Lady of the Rosary, and at Itapiranga, Brazil in 1994, she identified herself as the Queen of the Rosary.
Also, at each of her apparitions of the 20th century, Our Lady gave us either prophetic warnings or secrets to prepare us for what we would be facing. Unfortunately, Our Lady’s words have not been widely disseminated. Or they have been ignored. Or, in some cases, they almost seem to have been suppressed. As a result, few people seem to be aware of what Our Lady has been trying to tell us.
This website has been prepared to try and help spread the word about Our Lady’s apparitions, and specifically her prophesies, warnings, and secrets. According to Our Lady, our Time of Grace is about over. We must convert. We must pray. We must do penance. And, we must say the Rosary daily. All of this to save our souls.
The Appendix of the book named Crucial Truths To Save Your Soul by Father Nicholas Gruner includes “A Prophetic Interview with Sister Lucy of Fatima”. This interview was given by Sister Lucy to the Mexican priest, Father Fuentes, on December 26, 1957. According to Father Fuentes, among many other very critically important comments, “Sister Lucy told me: ‘The two means to save the world are prayer and sacrifice.’ Regarding the Holy Rosary, Sister Lucy said: ‘Look Father, the Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Holy Rosary. She has given this efficacy to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all, spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary, we will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lady and obtain the salvation of many souls.’”
Just before he died St. Padre Pio was asked what legacy he would leave his spiritual children. his answer was simple: “The Rosary, I leave them the Rosary.” Here was a man who was a living crucifix, a stigmatist, a great mystic, a wonder worker, an inspiration to millions, and you would normally expect him to leave his spiritual children with volumes filled with spiritual advice. Yet he summarized it in one thing and in one thing only for he knew that was enough: “The Rosary, I leave them the Rosary.” When his death was approaching, he said: “Love Our Lady and make her loved. Always recite the Rosary.”
On October 7, the Church celebrates the yearly feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, in honor of a 16th century naval victory which secured Europe against Turkish invasion. For several centuries this day was known by the alternate title of "Our Lady of Victory". Pope Pius attributed the victory to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was invoked on the day of the battle through a campaign to pray the Rosary throughout Europe. The feast always occurs one week after the similar Byzantine celebration of the Protection of the Mother of God, which most Eastern Orthodox Christians and Eastern Catholics celebrate on October 1 in memory of a 10th century military victory which protected Constantinople against invasion after a reported Marian apparition.
NOTE: At Lepanto in 1571, the rosary is given credit for sinking ships. In Catholic Austria in 1955, the rosary is given credit for removing the Russians from the country. And in the Philippines in the 1980's, it has been documented that the bloodless revolution which removed Ferdinand Marcos from power was largely attributed to the praying of the rosary. For these reasons, and many others, the rosary is known as the Power Weapon.
Our Lady has prophesied to us what will be happening if we do not change; and soon. There is just no reason to doubt her as so many of her prophesies have already come true. Please study these apparitions carefully so you will not be surprised at what will be happening. Please prepare as Our Lady has told us to do.
And, by all means, please say the Rosary daily.
