WHY OUR LADY
TIME OF GRACE
Our Lady has used the term “time of grace” in over 70 of her messages at Medjugorje. Here are only 4 of those beautiful (as they all are) messages:
October 25, 1981: Our Lady answered the question “How can God have such a hard heart?”, as follows: “God does not have a hard heart. Look around you and see what men do, then you will no longer say that God has a hard heart. How many people come to church, to the house of God, with respect, a strong faith, and love of God? Very few! Here you have a time of grace and conversion. It is necessary that you use it well.”
August 25, 1997: “Dear children! God gives me this time as a gift to you, so that I may instruct and lead you on the path of salvation. Dear children, now you do not comprehend this grace, but soon a time will come when you will lament these messages. That is why, little children, live all the words which I have given you through this time of grace and renew prayer, until prayer becomes a joy for you. Especially, I call all those who have consecrated themselves to my Immaculate Heart to become an example to others. I call all priests and religious brothers and sisters to pray the rosary and to teach others to pray. The rosary, little children, is especially dear to me. Through the rosary open your heart to me and I am able to help you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
March 25, 2018: “Dear children! I am calling you to be with me in prayer in this time of grace when darkness is fighting against the light. Pray, little children, confess and begin a new life in grace. Decide for God and He will lead you towards holiness; and the cross will be a sign of victory and hope for you. Be proud that you are baptized and grateful in your heart that you are part of God’s plan. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
March 25, 2019: “Dear children! This is a time of grace. As nature renews itself for a new life, you also are called to conversion. Decide for God. Little children, you are empty and do not have joy, because you do not have God. Therefore, pray until prayer becomes your life. In nature seek God who created you, because nature speaks and fights for life and not for death. Wars are reigning in hearts and nations, because you do not have peace and you do not see, little children, a brother in your neighbor. Therefore, return to God and to prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
At each of Our Lady’s apparitions, God allows Our Lady to come to us to lead us to salvation, and the 4 messages above clearly show this. At Medjugorje, Our Lady is appearing and talking with the 6 visionaries, yet her messages given to them are also intended for us. The visionary, Mirjana, tells us: “everything that Our Lady has said has such great importance for all of us -- and I mean each one of us. Our Lady wishes to guide us to her Son, Our Savior Jesus Christ.”
In the first message above, which is one of thousands of appearances and messages given at Medjugorje since June 24, 1981, Our Lady tells the children (and us) that here you have a time of grace and conversion. It is necessary that you use it well.
In the second message, Our Lady tells us that God gives her this time at Medjugorje as a gift to us, so she may instruct and lead us on the path to salvation. She also tells us to live all the words I have given you through the time of grace and renew prayer, until prayer becomes a joy for you. She asks all who have consecrated themselves to her Immaculate Heart to become and example to others. She asks all priests and religious brothers and sisters to pray the Rosary and to teach others to pray. She tells us the rosary is especially dear to her and through the rosary to open our hearts to her and she will help us.
In the third message above, Our Lady says she is calling us to be with her in prayer in this time of grace when darkness is fighting against the light. She asks us to pray, to confess, and to begin a new life in grace. She asks us to decide for God and He will then lead us towards holiness, and the cross will be a sign of victory and hope for us. She then asks us to be proud that we are baptized and grateful in our heart that we are part of God’s plan.
And in the fourth message above, Our Lady says this is a time of grace. She calls us to conversion just as nature renews itself for a new life. She once again asks us to decide for God. She tells us we are empty and do not have joy because we do not have God. She asks us to seek God who created us. She asks us to pray until prayer becomes your life. She tells us that wars are reigning in our hearts and nations because we do not have peace and do not see a brother in our neighbor. And lastly, Our Lady asks us to return to God and prayer.
So, the question might be when should we expect for this time of grace given to us at Medjugorje to end? And the answer is that it has to do with the secrets.
At Medjugorje, Our Lady has given the children 10 secrets, but not all of the children have received all 10 secrets. Very little is known about the 10 secrets, though we do know that some of them have to do with the chastisements for the world. According to Mirjana, “Our Lady is planning to change the world. She did not come to announce our destruction; she came to save us, and with her Son, she will triumph over evil. If our Mother has promised to defeat evil, then what do we have to fear?”
Mirjana knows all ten secrets and the day and date of their release. Mirjana was also tasked with finding a priest to reveal the 10 secrets, and she has chosen Father Petar who has accepted the responsibility and must fulfill it. According to Mirjana, Father Petar does not have the choice whether to reveal the secrets or not. Ten days before the first secret is to take place, Mirjana will give Father Petar the scroll/parchment (that was given to Mirjana by Our Lady) containing the ten secrets. Father Petar and Mirjana are to spend the next 7 days in fasting and prayer. Three days before the event takes place, Father Petar is to release it to the world. At the proper time, he will then be able to see and read the second secret, and the third, etc., according to the schedule of Heaven.
Father Petar is now in his mid seventies which is the average age of death for a male in Bosnia. So, therefore, the secrets of Medjugorje could possibly begin to unfold on any future day.
Are we prepared for the release of the secrets? Very little is known about the secrets, but here is what is known. The first secret will break the power of Satan and his followers whom Our Lady told Mirjana have been given tremendous powers never available to them before, and after the first secret is revealed, these powers will never be given to them before. Another secret involves three warnings to the world in the form of events on the earth intended to serve as a stimulus for the conversion of the world. Then another secret is that a visible permanent sign is to appear and after that those who are still alive will have little time for conversion and reconciliation. Finally, the ninth and tenth secrets are serous and concern chastisements for the world for punishment which is inevitable!
Final Question: Are we taking advantage of this time of grace given to us by God through Our Lady at Medjugorje?
